Areo merges warehouse and administration and moves back to its roots<\/h4>\n

It’s a new but familiar address for Areo employees from the New Year. The company’s sixth anniversary was marked by moving the administration from H\u00e5rup to a farm near Gjern. Since Jens Hougaard took over MT H\u00f8jg\u00e5rd’s coating division and started Areo A\/S in 2011, the company has previously been located in Silkeborg and H\u00e5rup respectively. In January last year, his brother, Michael Hougaard, joined as a shareholder and co-owner.<\/p>\n

Back to the roots<\/h5>\n

The address at Ellerupvej 34 in Gjern is neither new nor random. Since the company’s inception, it has housed the company’s storage facilities and is part of the family farm where the family has its deep roots and of which the Hougaard brothers are the seventh generation.<\/p>\n

Warehouse and administration combined<\/h5>\n

The management has been working for some time on the idea of consolidating the company’s activities in one place. To simplify workflows, improve communication and increase efficiency. The distance – not only the physical distance – has been significantly reduced, to the benefit of all employees.<\/p>\n

Growth continues<\/h5>\n

Business is booming with seamless coatings. In 2016, Areo managed to install over 100,000 m2 of flooring in contracts across Denmark. Among the biggest projects Areo has been involved in over the last few years is the Royal Arena, which has just been inaugurated. And the order situation also looks very positive, with half of the budgeted turnover for 2017 already in the order book.<\/p>\n
