Areo wins the specialist contract for the synthetic and liquid mortar coatings for the Royal Arena <\/strong><\/p>\n

The floors in the Royal Arena come from Areo<\/strong>
\nA new and long-awaited multi-arena is taking shape in \u00d8restaden and the floors are from Areo. The construction of the Royal Arena has been underway for some time and you can soon start to meet the Areo floor installers on site. For Areo, the project will start already in the coming weeks, when we will start pumping the first cubic meters of slurry mortar(Areo Subfloors<\/a>). In total, Areo will apply more than 12,000m2 of<\/sup> epoxy coating, more than 4,000 m2of<\/sup> liquid mortar and surface treat more than 10,000m2 <\/sup>of concrete.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Royal Arena<\/strong>
\nThe Jyske Bank Box will have competition and the \u00d8resund region’s sports, cultural and urban life will get a boost when the Royal Arena is completed in 2016. The Royal Arena will be a multifunctional venue that can host music, culture, sports and much more, attracting more major international events to Denmark.<\/p>\n

A flexible and scalable arena<\/strong>
\nThe arena will be up to 35,000 m2 in size and will seat up to 15,000 seated and standing spectators for cultural and musical events. For sporting events such as handball matches, the capacity will be 12,500 spectators. The arena will be flexible and scalable, making it possible to host events using only a small part of the arena and spectator capacity.<\/p>\n

Design influenced by Scandinavian design tradition<\/strong>
\nThe design is an expression of a strong Scandinavian design tradition, where quality, function and design go hand in hand, giving Royal Arena a distinctive Nordic identity. The building will have an open ground floor and a publicly accessible plateau on the first floor level – directly facing the urban space.<\/p>\n

Arena of international excellence<\/strong>
\nThe Royal Arena will be a top international quality arena that can be used for many types of events. The flexibility of the arena makes it possible to hold events using only parts of the arena. Complemented by existing facilities, the Greater Copenhagen area will be able to offer even better, broader and bigger events to the outside world.<\/p>\n

Construction of the Royal Arena is expected to be completed in mid-2016 and open to the public in late 2016.<\/p>\n
