Epoxy flooring – an extremely durable floor
Epoxy coating is suitable for all floors where a durable, seamless and easy-to-clean surface is required.
The surface of an epoxy coating is resistant to alkalis, petrol, oil and even brake fluid. This is perhaps one of the reasons why epoxy flooring and coatings have traditionally been the best solution for production and workshops.
Like polyurethane, epoxy is made up of two components, a hardener and a resin. When these two components are mixed, a chemical chain reaction occurs that transforms the resin into a liquid plastic with several different properties. Features worth highlighting are that the product is hard-wearing, slip-resistant and provides a long-lasting surface.

More about Epoxy
What is Epoxy?
Like polyurethane, epoxy is made up of two components, a hardener and a resin. When these two components are mixed, a chemical chain reaction occurs that transforms the resin into a liquid plastic with several different properties. Features worth highlighting are that the product is hard-wearing, slip-resistant and provides a long-lasting surface.
Epoxy is 3 times stronger than a concrete floor and can withstand heavy loads, making it suitable for warehouses, industrial buildings with pallet truck traffic, workshops with heavy machinery and much more.
Why choose Epoxy?
An epoxy floor is a safe choice when it comes to workplace safety. Because non-slip surfaces help to minimize falls in the workplace. In addition, epoxy floors have a hard-wearing surface that helps to ensure a good-looking floor for many years to come.
In addition, epoxy is waterproof and chemical resistant, making it suitable for workshops and factory halls where various chemicals are used.
Although epoxy is produced via a chemical chain reaction, it is neither toxic to touch nor to breathe after it has hardened. In contrast, the joint-free epoxy ensures that the surface is easy to clean and maintain. The seamless surface ensures both hygiene and safety.
All our epoxy products are CE marked and therefore comply with all EU standards and legislation.
Professionalism and 30 years of experience
Epoxy has a fast curing time, which requires professional floor installers. If you don’t have the right experience and skill, you risk the product hardening before it is fully laid. At Areo, we have 30 years of experience in laying epoxy floors. What’s more, all our flooring installers are trained in the installation of seamless floors, so they can give you the best results for your next construction project.
