Back in May 2014, Areo decided to take the next step with the administrative department. Until then, Areo had only had a part-time bookkeeper who ran other businesses alongside Areo.
Åse started on 4.8.2014 and since her arrival we haven’t looked back in the administration department. She has developed and structured processes and workflows continuously.
The development she has been responsible for has undoubtedly contributed to Areo’s ability to grow over the years, with a tripling of revenue in 10 years, says Jens Hougaard.
Åse was appointed CFO in 2018, and today we have an organization that is self-sufficient and is constantly evolving to meet the ever-increasing demands from customers and public authorities. If anything, Åse has brought the administrative part with her, so we are running according to 2024 standards,” says Jens Hougaard.
Jørn
Jørn and Jens Hougaard have known each other since school. At the time, neither of them expected that they would end up working together in a company in Gjern.
“When I started Areo in 2011, it was important to have installers I could trust and who took professional pride in their work. That way we could create a foundation of customers who came back to us,” says Jens Hougaard.
Jens tried a couple of times to attract Jørn, but without success, but on August 9, 2014 he managed to get Jørn to join the team.
Jens was right that Areo got a dedicated employee who really cares about solving all tasks in the best possible way and always with professional pride as the main force.
When Jørn is given a task, it always gets done. Jørn is a world champion at learning new things, so it’s only natural that he comes to the special tasks that Areo has to perform.
“I know the job is in safe hands there,” says Jens Hougaard.
