We have delivered flooring from bottom to top in Frederikssund’s “biggest dog house”.
The dog house is the name of 18 rental apartments where tenants are required to have a dog.
Everything about the construction and layout of the apartments is designed to accommodate the tenants’ dogs.
Therefore, floors in homes need to be hard-wearing and easy to clean.
Subfloors
The subfloors are constructed of foam concrete, acoustic fabric and Ronasil 1030.
Foam concrete, not to be confused with EPS concrete, has a low weight per m2. It also has good insulating and soundproofing properties.
On top of the foam concrete is the Scan Underlay acoustic fabric, which is sustainable and effectively reduces footstep sounds. It is made from 90% recycled rubber and is DGNB certified.
The subfloor is finished with Ronasil 1030, a shrink and crack-free thin plaster.
Design flooring
For the dog house, Design flooring has been chosen, with the surface sealed with a transparent three-layer topcoat. The floors are very durable and can be dyed in different shades of gray and natural colors.
All design floors are unique, have a rustic surface and a clean visual appearance.
